Find the Korean university that actually fits you.

YKU is an AI-guided platform for international students. It turns your background, goals and budget into a shortlist of English-taught programs in South Korea, then walks with you from first search to final application.

01 The problem

The information exists. It is just scattered everywhere.

Every Korean university publishes its programs, tuition and requirements on its own site, in its own format, on its own update schedule. Students end up with forty tabs, three spreadsheets and one big guess.

What you needWhere it lives todayHow YKU organizes it
English-taught statusBuried in program pages, mixed with Korean-taught tracksA dedicated field on every program record
DeadlinesDifferent per university, intake and applicant typeOne timeline, ordered by your target intake
RequirementsHidden inside PDFs, sometimes years out of dateStructured fields with a last-verified date
Tuition and aidSplit across five different pages per universityOne cost view, scholarships included
02 The method

One profile. Three stages. A single route.

Rankings describe universities in the abstract. YKU works from the other direction: it starts from your profile and stays with you through three stages.

Stage 01

Discover

A shortlist built around your profile. YKU scores every indexed program against your field, grades, budget and city preference, then shows the reasons behind each name.

  • Field and level match
  • Cost and scholarship fit
  • Reasons shown per result
Stage 02

Apply

From shortlist to submitted. For every target you keep one living checklist: eligibility, documents, deadlines per intake, and the next action ordered by date.

  • Document checklist
  • Intake-aware deadlines
  • Step plan with dates
Stage 03

Belong

Arrive already oriented. Acceptance is the middle of the story, not the end: housing, cost of living and the cultural basics for your first month on campus.

  • Housing options
  • City and campus orientation
  • Cultural preparation
03 The data

Recommendations are only as good as the data under them.

Most study-abroad sites treat a language model as the database. We treat it as a tool that works on a verified dataset. These are the rules that dataset follows.

  1. Official sources only. University pages, never blogs or forums.
  2. One program per record. Not one row per university. One row per program.
  3. English-taught status is explicit. A dedicated field, not a guess from the page title.
  4. Every record keeps its source URL. Any claim can be checked in one click.
  5. Every record keeps a last-verified date. Old data is labeled as old.
  6. Requirements are structured. GPA, language scores and documents as fields, not prose.
  7. Programs update independently. One changed deadline never rewrites everything else.
  8. Unknown stays unknown. Missing data is marked. It is never filled in by a guess.
  9. The engine has a quality gate. Programs below the data bar are excluded from recommendations.
  10. Sources are re-checked on a schedule. Universities change pages. The index follows.
04 Live demo

Try the matching logic right now.

This is a working slice of the YKU engine running in your browser, on a small public dataset of Korean universities known for English-taught tracks. The full product scores against verified program-level records.

05 Why Korea

A degree in Korea is a practical bet on your future.

Academic calendarTwo intakes a year: spring in March and fall in September. Application windows typically open six to nine months before the semester starts.
Language of instructionFull English-taught tracks run alongside Korean-taught programs, especially in engineering, business and international studies. Korean language support is widely offered on campus.
ScholarshipsThe Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) funds thousands of international students each year, and most major universities add their own merit-based awards.
University citiesSeoul is the largest hub, with Daejeon, Pohang, Ulsan, Daegu and Gwangju home to science institutes of global standing.
Cost pictureTuition varies widely. Public science institutes are often the most affordable option, private universities in Seoul the most expensive, with scholarships narrowing the gap.
